King states that Township roads may be occupied or closed for parades, festivals, social activities and athletic events through a permit application. The variety matters because road use can serve very different guest patterns. A planner should describe the proposed activity in operational terms: who enters the road space, at what time, for how long, and whether vehicles, pedestrians or both are affected. Use that definition to frame the application and the arrival contingency. Until the relevant decision is secured, avoid language implying uninterrupted access. Route the issue to the correct municipal process

King directs construction closures to Public Works and event closures through the Clerks special-event process. Keep the notice factual: affected approach, effective period, replacement direction and next verification time. This avoids turning an unverified site rumour into a broad guest alert. It also preserves accountability when several teams—venue, production, transport and security—are monitoring different aspects of the same property perimeter.
